Scripture: "Some of the teachers of the law said, “Teacher, your answer was very good.” No one was brave enough to ask him another question." Luke 20:39-40 (ERV) Application: The Sadducees and Pharisees tried at every opportunity to trick Jesus into saying something that would sway the people against Him. But in every attempt, it was the tricksters who wound up looking like fools. Never did they apologize to Jesus for their deception, and rarely did they do anything other than go away, afraid to ask any more questions.(Luke 20:40) On an occasion, they complimented Jesus on His answer. (verse 39) A compliment is a good thing, but an apology, coupled with a compliment and change of heart is the best thing. Prayer: Father, when we find we're wrong, please give us the courage to apologize, thank the teacher, and change our ways accordingly. Amen. Comments are closed.
