Scripture:
"Where there is no revelation, people cast off restraint; but blessed is the one who heeds wisdom’s instruction." Proverbs 29:18 (NIV) Application: Every age, since the fall of mankind, has been challenged with the lack of restraint. Every age has failed. But God had always provided a means to return to Him. It's up to us to choose to restrain ourselves. He will clear the path. Prayer: Father, we choose to live our lives devoted to You. Please make our paths clear. Amen.

Scripture:
“And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.” Ephesians 6:18 (NIV) Application: Jesus is the embodiment of unselfishness. During His earthly ministry, He constantly served people who generally were thinking of themselves and their own conditions. When we pray for others constantly, we are being more like Jesus. Prayer: Jesus, You left Your heavenly throne to care for us and save us. Please gently mold my heart and mind to be more like Yours, so that I can have more compassion toward others. Thank You, and Amen. Who to follow in a famine. Scripture: “When all Egypt began to feel the famine, the people cried to Pharaoh for food. Then Pharaoh told all the Egyptians, “Go to Joseph and do what he tells you.”” Genesis 41:55 (NIV) Application: When hard times come, leaders should tell their citizens to follow Godly people. Prayer: Dear Father, please prepare us Christians to be the instructors the world will need to find security. Amen. |
