Scripture: "Do not grant the wicked their desires, Lord ; do not let their plans succeed." Psalms 140:8 NIV Application: God isn't at the mercy of the wicked. It's the other way around. Even the evil actions of the wicked are subject to God. There are supernatural forces battling in the unseen dimension (Ephesians 6:12), but no evil is stronger than God. We can ask God to stop the actions of evil people who've allowed evil forces to work through them. God may not always stop them, though...we can look at this evil world and see this. We don't understand exactly why. God's ways are above ours (Isaiah 55:8,9). Let His will be done, and may He grant us peace in whatever He wills or allows. Prayer: Father God, we pray that You will never let evil powers bring us suffering, and that You will protect the weak and exploited people from bad things. Where we are suffering, we pray that You will deliver us from evil, and meanwhile give us a peace that surpasses all understanding. Amen. Comments are closed.
