​Vote of no confidence. Hope in the Lord.

Scripture:
“Don’t put your confidence in powerful people; there is no help for you there…But joyful are those who have the God of Israel as their helper, whose hope is in the Lord their God.” 
Psalms 146:3,5

Application:
Certainly, we should do our civic duties, which often includes voting, paying taxes, and respecting our fellow citizens’ rights, but we should not place our confidence in the powerful people and leaders. They will pass away or be out of power and even their good works will fade or be twisted. It’s best to put 100% of our trust and confidence in Christ Jesus alone. After all, it is He who allowed those leaders to come into power in the first place. 

Prayer:
We pray that we will support our communities, but will only trust in You alone, Christ Jesus. Amen.
