​Unfairness, injustice, hatred

Scripture:
“If the world hates you, you know that it has hated Me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, because of this the world hates you. ... But they have done this to fulfill the word that is written in their Law, ‘They hated Me without a cause.’
John 15:18-19,25 NASB

Application:
No doubt, many of us have been treated unfairly, experienced injustice, or been hated simply because of some external feature or designation that the world sees and judges wrongly. This unfair judgment happens before the world even knows us as people. Of course, that's wrong. But consider how the world also treated Jesus unfairly, did injustice to Him, and hated Him. There was no cause to hate Him. In fact, there was every reason to love and praise Him. A world that does that to the Savior of the world can't be expected to be fair to any one of us. So don't look to the world for fairness. Look only to the Lord, and pray that He will help us get through each day.

Prayer:
Dear Lord, You have power to govern over this world of unfairness, and we pray that you will protect us and the innocent who are treated unjustly. Amen.
