​Timing is everything.

Scripture:
You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly.
Romans 5:6 NIV

Application:
The Bible, and all of human history, tells us not to try to do anything too soon. That includes marrying, quitting jobs, getting promoted, being famous, starting a family, or even dying (at our own hands). 

We saw how Joseph, filled with conviction and promise, had to wait so many years in an Egyptian prison. ( Genesis 39:19-21) Even Jesus didn't begin His public ministry until He was around 30 years old. (Luke 4:14-16)

"At just the right time" are some of the most perplexing words for us Christians to apply to our own lives. But we have to. God will allow us to act prematurely. But if we do, we miss out on a fully purposeful life. That's the truth.

Just you wait and see.

Prayer:
Dear God, we want to have every big aspect of our lives peak at just the perfect time. You chose when it was best for us to be born. Now we want You to choose when we should act. Amen.
