Scripture: I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. John 15:5 ESV Application: A taproot is defined in Wikipedia as "a large, central, and dominant root from which other roots sprout laterally. Typically a taproot is somewhat straight and very thick, is tapering in shape, and grows directly downward." Our relationship with Jesus is one in which we want Him to centrally dominate every aspect of our lives. We afford Him a direct connection from heaven to us. That Way, God's grace and mercy sprout laterally. Accordingly, we bear much fruit in His name. Prayer: Let us always be rooted firmly in You, and You in us, dear Lord. Comments are closed.
