Tactful under attack.

Scripture:
"Jesus answered him, “Simon, I have something to tell you.” “Tell me, teacher,” he said. ... Then he turned toward the woman and said to Simon, “Do you see this woman? I came into your house. You did not give me any water for my feet, but she wet my feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair." Luke 7:40,44 (NIV)

Application:
If at all possible, it's best to confront someone without directly cornering them. To get God's message across, we should seek to correct without putting people on the defensive. Of course, sideways references may not always be picked up on, so a more direct approach may be necessary. Let's use examples and positive outside references to see if our intended audience receives Godly instruction without embarrassment.

Prayer:
Jesus, we pray that we can be as tactful as You when dealing with those who attack us. Give us both grace and gracefulness. Amen.
