Scripture: "If what has been built survives, the builder will receive a reward. If it is burned up, the builder will suffer loss but yet will be saved—even though only as one escaping through the flames." 1 Corinthians 3:14-15 NIV "Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed—not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence—continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose. Philippians 2:12,13 (NIV) Application: If we give half-hearted, sloppy, and uncaring service in representing God, our legacy will be worthless. True, we may be saved and pass into glory after this life, but on earth, we may not have done much anything to show gratitude for our salvation (Philippians 2:12–13). On the other hand, if we do our best, despite occasional failings, God notices this, and the footprint we leave behind will certainly glorify God and help a lost world. Prayer: God, we want our work to be wonderful, everyday and everlasting. Amen. Comments are closed.
