​Sin: killed dead, dead, dead.

Scripture:
We know that our old sinful selves were crucified with Christ so that sin might lose its power in our lives. We are no longer slaves to sin. For when we died with Christ we were set free from the power of sin.
Romans 6:6-7 NLT

Application:
A sinful nature is guaranteed to take us farther down the road of self-destruction than we ever intended to go, and wreck more lives than we ever thought we'd know.
When we gave our lives to Christ, we buried our sinful nature. Don't let something trick us into thinking that sinful nature is still alive. It isn't. It's dead, dead, dead. Show it the grave where that sinful nature is buried. Hold up the Bible, which is our 100% certified testamentary evidence that we are reborn with Jesus as free beings.

Prayer:
Christ Jesus, lift us up with You each day whenever something lies and suggests to us we are slaves to our old sinful urges. Amen.
