Separation from God.

Scripture:
What I feared has come upon me; what I dreaded has happened to me.
Job 3:25 (NIV)


Application:
Nothing in universal existence, ever, anywhere, can be worse than to be separated from God. The Bible is a true book. It tells of heroic overcomings and heroic defeats. It displays how awful it was for iconic, real people like Job, David, and yes, Jesus, when each felt separated from God. They despaired in immense depression. But in every case, each person came back better than before.
Better than before.
Our mission is to make our personal connection with God strong enough to withstand those periods of drought that all believers experience. With our regular study of the true Word of God, prayer, and fellowship with Godly people who know both human failing and Divine overcoming, we will not only survive the drought, but also be better than before.
Never ever doubt that God is with us or that He deeply loves us, no matter how we may feel or the external conditions. Believe that we will come back better than before.
It will happen.
It is written.


Prayer:
Father God, we don't ever want to doubt that You are closer to us than our own breath. Please comfort us and send us Your encouragement and power to endure and overcome any drought or obstacle that may come our way, which is Your Way. These are Your promises, and we put all our faith in them. Amen.
