Scripture: "And he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord, and walked in all the way of David his father, and turned not aside to the right hand or to the left."2 Kings 22:2 KJV Application: How many times have we read this phrase in the bible? "... did what was right in the eyes of the LORD"? Sure, not enough, but we see it often enough for us to glance over it and keep reading. But what does "did what was right in the eyes of the LORD" really mean? It means that the person, usually an Old testament king like Josiah (e.g., 2 Kings 22:2), allowed their faith in God to shape their everyday lives and relationships with everyone. When we do, others will want to be part of the team, and demonstrate their own talents to God's glory. I believe that doing what's right in the Lord's eyes automatically makes us great leaders.. Prayer: Lord, lead us the Way to do what's right in Your eyes. Amen. Comments are closed.
