Scripture:
Peter and the other apostles replied: “We must obey God rather than human beings!... The apostles left the Sanhedrin, rejoicing because they had been counted worthy of suffering disgrace for the Name.
Acts 5:29, 41 (NIV)

Application:
It is dangerous to stand for something that our surrounding culture criticises. But there is an indescribable joy that comes when we are singled out and identified as being for the unique cause for which we stand.
But there's a very important catch:
We must make sure that the causes for which we take criticism are the causes of God, not man.

Prayer:
We pray that we are protesting on Your side, not our own, dear God. Correct us as gently as possible, but as strongly as necessary, should we stray from Your Way. Amen.
