Scripture:
"Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.” Psalm 139:23, 24 (NIV) “There is a way that appears to be right, but in the end it leads to death.” Proverbs 14:12 (NIV) Application: Geeks working in Information Technology (IT) use tests to make sure internet connections are up and running. The Ping test shows if the destination server is online. It also measures how long it takes for data packets to reach and return from that destination. The Traceroute test follows the route of data traveling from a computer to an Internet host and lists the number of hops it takes to get to that destination. Wrong hops may lead to cyberspace oblivion. Prayer can work similarly.
Through prayer, God will show us where we’ve gone offline. He’ll also be ready to help us get our systems up and running again. Prayer follows the best type of “IT”... it's "In the Testaments." Prayer: Dear Lord, I pray that I’m on the right path. Please confirm my journey, and gently correct me when I stray. Amen.
