Scripture: “Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift all of you as wheat. But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers.” ... “Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done.” An angel from heaven appeared to him and strengthened him... “Why are you sleeping?” he asked them. “Get up and pray so that you will not fall into temptation.” Luke 22:31-32, 42-43, 46 (NIV) Application: We should know that Satan didn't stop his plotting against us believers after he was defeated in his plot against Job. He still asks God for permission to hurt us Christians and have us condemned to hell. But prayer defeats Satan. And we have a special defense that is unique to us: Jesus prays for us too! We should follow Jesus' model of prayer: that we will have victory over Satan and that God's will be done. With Jesus praying for us at the same time (if not before), we will find strength from angels during our challenges and will emerge victorious. Guaranteed. Prayer: We thank You Jesus for praying for us. We pray as well for strength and protection. Defeat Satan. All glory to God. Amen. Comments are closed.
