Scripture: "'...he calls his friends and neighbors together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.’ I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent... And when she finds it, she calls her friends and neighbors together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost coin.’... For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’ So they began to celebrate."' Luke 15:6-7,9,24 (NIV) Application: Being obsessed usually is not a good thing. In fact, it's self-destructive if that obsession is toward drugs, sex, wealth, or power (among other idols). But obsession over finding the Kingdom of God is a wonderful thing. Because in finding this treasure, we are guaranteed all the joy of life, both now and into eternity. That's why we as Christians live with passionate fervor. We have renounced all idols, and placed our love toward God, and have taken the Hand of Jesus Christ to lead us to Him. Prayer: Father, we thank You for giving us the key to eternal life, and are gladly obsessed with living for You alone. Amen. Comments are closed.
