Scripture:
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
John 14:27 NIV

Application:
We shouldn't be fearful people. If we are troubled and afraid, we're most likely listening far too much to bellicose politicians, unpleasant people, and anti-Christians. We should read and follow the teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus deliberately left us the gift of peace; something that this world can't give.

Prayer:
We choose to accept the peace You left for us, Lord Jesus. Make us aware when we abandon Your gift. Keep fearful people away from us, please. Amen.
