Open minded

Scripture:
Then he said, “When I was with you before, I told you that everything written about me in the law of Moses and the prophets and in the Psalms must be fulfilled.” Then he opened their minds to understand the Scriptures.
Luke 24:44-45 NLT




Application:
Being open minded is seen as good, and it's a good thing to avoid passing judgment on others when we ourselves need plenty of reform. But passing judgment on false doctrine is a necessary thing. We have to be firm in our foundation of our faith:
Jesus Christ must be the foundation of everything we believe in.
Jesus Himself will open our minds so that we see Him as the rock of our salvation. He will reveal His presence throughout the scriptures. Our minds have to be sharp. We must avoid believing in anything that pushes Jesus aside or demotes Him to a mere human scholar or spiritual teacher.
Be open minded, the Jesus Way.


Prayer:
Dear Lord Jesus, we pray that You will open our minds so that we will know You more each moment, and help others know You too. Amen.
