ONE.

Scripture:
“There is one Lord, one faith, one baptism.” Ephesians 4:5 (NLT)


Application:
A very kind but somewhat boastful West African compared his belief system to Christianity. He said, correctly, that in Christianity, there’s just the unified Holy Trinity (the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit). But, he said with pride, his religion had over 400 deities. To him, that suggested his religion was superior.
Big numbers trick people. Big price tags, big buffets, big salaries, and even big church congregations fool people into thinking they’re in the right place simply because of the big numbers.
How foolish.
It’s easy for Satan to lead them blindly into hell with big numbers.   
Study the Word of God and arrive at the simple truth that Ephesians 4:5 makes clear:
There’s only one Lord, one faith, and one baptism.

Thank You God, for making Your Word understandable for anyone. I pray that today I can be humble and help others receive Your simple but profound truth. Amen.
