Scripture: "So Jesus said to his twelve, “And you—do you also want to leave?” Peter spoke up and said, “But Lord, where would we go? No one but you gives us the revelation of eternal life. We’re fully convinced that you are the Anointed One, the Son of the Living God, and we believe in you!”John 6:67-69 (The Passion Translation (TPT)) "Truly I tell you,” Jesus replied, “no one who has left home or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields for me and the gospel will fail to receive a hundred times as much in this present age: homes, brothers, sisters, mothers, children and fields—along with persecutions—and in the age to come eternal life. Mark 10:29,30 (NIV) Application: Many of us have seen heart-wrenching misery. We've witnessed tragedies in our own lives as well as in our families, our communities, across the seas, and even as we study history. When tragedies strike, it's as if the ground has opened below our feet and swallowed us whole. Out of desperation, it's natural for us to run to government leaders, businesses, humanitarian agencies, church staff, friends, and family members when they say they can make things right. Some really do their best, God bless them. But they always fall short of supplying for all needs. Only Jesus Christ never fails to supply everything needed. Plant your faith firmly 100% in Him. There’s no where else to go. Prayer: Lord Jesus, help us help others, and help others help even more. Amen. Comments are closed.
