Scripture:
“Terah took his son Abram, his grandson Lot son of Haran, and his daughter-in-law Sarai, the wife of his son Abram, and together they set out from Ur of the Chaldeans to go to Canaan. But when they came to Harran, they settled there. Terah lived 205 years, and he died in Harran.” Genesis 11:31-32 (NIV) Application: Ask people who Terah was, and most will not know. But his son Abraham is perhaps the best known person in all of global history. If Terah had not quit the journey to Canaan, he might have been the person through whom God blesses the nations. The best journeys happen when we set a distant goal, and take steady steps toward it every day. And don’t quit. Ever. Prayer: Father, thank You for giving each of us a unique destiny. Please guide and encourage us every day to reach it. Amen. Comments are closed.
