Scripture:
"What are people, that you should make so much of us, that you should think of us so often?” Job 7:17 (NLT) “Then King David went in and sat before the Lord, and he said: ‘Who am I, Sovereign Lord, and what is my family, that you have brought me this far?’” 2 Samuel 7:18 (NIV) Application: Job, in the time of his miserable afflictions, asked God why He even bothered thinking of us. David, when told of the great blessings God would give him, marveled why the Lord would even consider him worthy of His time. God thinks of us always. Yes, right now. And He thinks higher of us than we think of ourselves. Like a doting parent, God watches our every move, hoping the best, recording our accomplishments. And when we sell ourselves short by spoiling our minds, ruining our bodies, and corrupting our hearts with hate, God is heartbroken. God, the Creator of the universe, put Himself in us. That truth should bring us to our knees in humility, fill our hearts with inspiration, and encourage us to live like Jesus. Prayer: Dear Father, words can’t express my happiness. I know You are listening to me. I know You love me. I love You back.
