​Jesus heals, despite the rules.

Scripture:
'“ ‘When a woman has a discharge of blood for many days at a time other than her monthly period or has a discharge that continues beyond her period, she will be unclean as long as she has the discharge, just as in the days of her period. '
Leviticus 15:25 NIV

And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years. When she heard about Jesus, she came up behind him in the crowd and touched his cloak... At once Jesus realized that power had gone out from him. He turned around in the crowd and asked, “Who touched my clothes?” ... He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.” '

Application:
We often follow rules without understanding the meaning. In society, this is often fine, because order for the masses requires it. But when it comes to human decency and suffering, that's a different matter. Jesus cuts to the chase. He removes the burdens of needless social rules and heals. We should never be afraid to go to our Lord directly. He will make things better for us when society shuns us. Mankind will fail us, so we must be fearless enough to go directly to the Lord, Who is above mankind and the rules. It takes our initial act of faith in going to the Lord, and He will do the rest.

Prayer:
Please heal the sick and free them from all needless suffering, self-doubt, heartless rules, dear Lord. Amen.
