Scripture: "Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes....and pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people."Ephesians 6:11,18 NIV Application: Warfare conjures up images of us suiting up, fully girded and prepared to put a serious hurtin' on someone or something. That's perfectly biblical. (Ephesians 6:11-18). But where we often go wrong is then seeing ourselves as the ones who do the hurtin' exactly how and when we want to do it. That's not biblical. In fact, after suiting up and staying in prayer, we are to step aside and let God do the fighting, and claim victory. Prov. 21:31. But this is not a time for laziness. We still are working and praying, but not trying to execute God's judgment on others. Watch how God orchestrates things in ways that we could never fulfill. Why? Because we have no idea all the puzzle pieces God is moving to give us victory. Someone else may have to be in place to receive His blessing--or punishment--as we receive our victory. After following God's instructions, wait on the Lord. Psalm 27:14. Then, at the perfect time, we will see our victory manifested in ways we could never imagine. Deut. 28:7 Prayer: Father, even when we experience or witness injustice, help us wait on You to administer the right justice at the right time. Amen. Comments are closed.
