Scriptural reference: “He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake.” Psalms 23:3 (ESV) Sinning is fun, seductive, and highly addictive. If it weren't, the world wouldn't be the mess it is right now. Jesus, our Shepherd, knows that we, His sheep, are prone to stray. But He doesn't drag us away from our sinful journeys, shackle us to his Holy wagon, and force us like livestock to stay on the right path. If He did, we wouldn't be His companions, would we? We'd be His slaves. Instead, He leads us. He loves us. He never abandons us. He gets the beauty of our fellowship with Him when we follow Him on our own free will. And what do we get? Something that sin never, ever delivers: Endless, guilt-free, genuine bliss that's right in the eyes of God. Prayer:
God, my dear Guide and Protector, please gently lead me along the Way I should go today so that I'll steer away from sin. I want a relationship with You that's sincere and never-ending.
