Freeing slaves

Scripture:
For you know that God paid a ransom to save you from the empty life you inherited from your ancestors. And it was not paid with mere gold or silver, which lose their value. It was the precious blood of Christ, the sinless, spotless Lamb of God.
1 Peter 1:18-19 NLT

Application:
There may be no worse thing that a human can do to another group of humans than enslaving them, i.e., disregarding their humanity by buying and selling them, taking them as captives, chaining them, breeding them, stealing their God-given resources, torturing them, raping them, and ultimately killing them at will. 
We know this because every human is the priceless gift of God, and every slave is worthy of freedom, or manumission. Yet Satan's objective is to enslave us. He captures us with lies and keeps us enslaved through addictions, fear, and sin.
But there is Good News. 
On the Cross of Calvary, Jesus paid for our manumission. He freed us with His own blood. With His priceless self-sacrifice, we are forever restored to our priceless value. 

Prayer:
Christ Jesus, thank You for freeing us from Satan's slavery. The price is fully paid, Your work is finished, and we are free. Amen.
