Scriptural Reference:
“So we are Christ's ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, "Come back to God!" 2 Corinthians 5:20 (NLT) Application: The 1961 Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations put into writing the ancient custom of providing a place of refuge for people in a hostile foreign land. These places of refuge are known as embassies, and they are directed by ambassadors. Even local police and military in the embassy’s host nation aren’t permitted to enter and seize the refugee. We are ambassadors of Christ. Every day we are surrounded by people under siege. Some are Christians, some are not. They need a place to run. They need the Lord’s protection. They need your direction. Do you live your life so that they know that you are an ambassador? Prayer: Dear God, please help me live my life so that people will feel free to come to me to find Your peace and security. I want to teach them the safety that resides only in You. And thank You, also, for saving me. I know I was a refugee, too. Amen.
