Scripture: "... She believed that God would keep his promise." Hebrews 11:11 NLT Application: A "once removed" faith hero might be considered anyone who believes in the power intercessory prayer, even though they themselves may not feel they have a direct connection with God. They may feel their faith is not strong enough, but they desperately want to have the promises they hear that God has for others. They need mental or physical healing. Inward peace. Freedom from a tragic past that might include sexual molestation, disease, violence, trauma, abuse, war, accidents...any bad thing that they've experienced and have borne the scars of. Incredibly, they too can become heroes of faith. They learn of God because they see how Jesus Christ has become core to someone else's life. They suspend their disbelief long enough to whisper "pray for me, too." God hears them, even though no one else may. We Christians should never limit God's love or power to reach across any barrier and make anyone, under any condition, a faith hero. Pray for the unbeliever and under-believer too. Prayer: We know You love all of Your creation, Father. We pray for people who don't know You, but desperately need You. We love them, too. Heal them, and build their faith in You into heroic proportions, please. Amen. Comments are closed.
