Scripture:
"... I knew that you are a merciful and compassionate God, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love. You are eager to turn back from destroying people."

Application:
How fortunate we are that God doesn't get angry as fast as we do, but forgives faster than we do, and turns away justified punishment faster than we do. His traits are not only what we benefit from, but also what we should aspire to mimic in our own lives.

Prayer:
We pray to be more like You toward others, Father. Amen.
