Scripture: "The Samaritan woman said to him, “You are a Jew and I am a Samaritan woman. How can you ask me for a drink?” (For Jews do not associate with Samaritans. Or do not use dishes Samaritans have used) Jesus answered her, “If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water.” John 4:9-10 (NIV) Application: Imagine that. Getting along with--even associating in public with--someone whom you've been told is beneath you...or above you. It can happen. It should happen. Our Lord Jesus and the Samaritan woman did it. Doing so is not only acceptable, it's Godly. Take the first step. You'll find someone from "the other side" will have the courage to not leave you hanging. After all, it's Godly. Prayer: Father, give me the courage to be the first to break down the barriers that You never wanted erected in the first place. Amen. Comments are closed.
