Scripture:
“We always thank God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you, because we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of the love you have for all God’s people” Colossians 1:3,4 (NIV) Application: How can we simply send up prayers for people we don’t even know? It helps if these people profess they’re believers in Jesus Christ. That alone makes it easier to pray for them, and even more: It’s easier to love them. Of course we’ll have differences among us, even arguments, but when we truly profess Christianity as our common denominator, we know that all differences can be overcome because we are one in Christ. Prayer: Dear Father, You are Creator of all people. Help us Christians see past our differences and pray for each other, love each other, and act out our united acceptance of Jesus Christ as our Savior. We pray that our behavior will encourage non-believers to accept You, too. Thanks for this day’s opportunities to do these things. Love You so much! Amen.
