Scripture: “When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, “Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.”” John 8:7 (NIV) Application: What makes a great judge? Fairness and compassion. A person who looks at another person and says, "I've also sinned. I can be condemned. But the Lord had mercy on me. Now, how should I rule on this person?" There are times when a penalty must be exacted, but have we pondered what penalty we would agree is appropriate for ourselves before applying it to others? Prayer: Lord, guide us toward humility and compassion as we judge others. Amen. Comments are closed.
