​When the shaking comes, we'll be fine.

Scripture:
“This is what the LordAlmighty says: ‘In a little while I will once more shake the heavens and the earth, the sea and the dry land. I will shake all nations, and what is desired by all nations will come, and I will fill this house with glory,’ says the LordAlmighty. ‘The silver is mine and the gold is mine,’ declares the LordAlmighty. ‘The glory of this present house will be greater than the glory of the former house,’ says the LordAlmighty. ‘And in this place I will grant peace,’ declares the LordAlmighty.”

"At that time his voice shook the earth, but now he has promised, “Once more I will shake not only the earth but also the heavens.” The words “once more” indicate the removing of what can be shaken—that is, created things—so that what cannot be shaken may remain.Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, for our “God is a consuming fire.”

Application:
Anxiety is a natural defense mechanism when we encounter something new. At this moment, with COVID-19, everyone on earth is experiencing something new. In a sense most of the world is "shaken."
But we are children of God.
Look at what he promised us in both the Old and New Testaments. His house will be filled with glory. We are part of a kingdom that can never, ever be shaken. Just make sure that we can stay, and help others join us, "in the house."

Prayer:
Father, we celebrate Your glory, knowing that we will be with You. We pray that so many shaken people will take this opportunity to join us. Amen.
