There is neither Jew nor Gentile...

Scripture:
“There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” Galatians 3:28 (NIV)

Application:
On Sunday, April 17, 1960, Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. appeared on an American news program and said, “Eleven a.m. on Sunday morning is the most segregated hour in Christian America.” Any church that stands against integration is standing against the Spirit and teachings of Jesus Christ. That church, he said, fails to be a true witness.

Goodness, do we need witnesses!

Apostle Paul wrote of this need in Galatians 3:28. One of Satan’s greatest tricks to divide the church, indeed an entire country, and convince us that we are different. Not just along racial lines, but also gender, income, regional, and all other lines. Christians can and should lead the way. No governmental authorities or entertainment industries are needed (especially since they themselves may be Satan’s instruments!).

We are all the same in God’s eyes, which are the only eyes that matter to us, as witnesses.


Prayer:
Dear God, I want to be Your witness. Please help me lift the veil that blinds and divides Your church. Amen.
