Scripture:
For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope.
Romans 15:4 NIV

Application:
We have the Bible for the same reason we have good roadmaps. To get us to the place we really want to go safely, timely, and with the best scenery. The Bible was written with God's inspiration. It's His Word. We take comfort in knowing that although it's applicable to unique situations, its message remains the same.

Prayer:
When we read the Bible, Lord make us inspired and comforted. Amen.
