Scripture: “…our captors requested a song; our tormentors demanded songs of joy: “Sing us a song of Zion.” How can we sing a song of the LORD in a foreign land?” Psalm 137:3-4 (Berean Study Bible) Application: Unless we have experienced the horror of being driven out of our safe homes, separated from our families, and erased from history, we can’t rightfully condemn those who have. Much less should we expect them to behave as if they are unmarred by their horrible experiences. Instead, we should pray to God for ways to help this world become more Godly to everyone, because He created and loves everyone. Prayer: Father, You know mankind is not just. Only You are just. Give us Your Eyes to see where we are hard-hearted, and give us Your Hands to reshape injustice into justice. Amen. Comments are closed.
