Scripture:
“As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend.” Proverbs 27:17 (NLT) “Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up.” Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 (NIV) Application: Two knives can be used to sharpen one another, as long as they are set at the correct angle. Choose your friends well. If one is angled in the wrong direction, not only will she not get sharp, but she’ll also dull your God-given spirit. So you’ve got only one or two friends who are “Godly sharp”? Don’t give up hope. Even two dull knives can become sharp if they are set at the correct angle. That angle is facing God. Pair yourself up with someone with a genuine desire to know God. You’ll both get sharper faster. Prayer: Dear Father, please lead me to people who can help me know and serve You better. Make me a blessing to them as well. Amen.
