Scripture:
“Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; do not fret when people succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes.” Psalm 37:7 (NIV) “After the earthquake came a fire, but the LORD was not in the fire. And after the fire came a gentle whisper.” 1 Kings 19:12 (NIV) Application: We keep track of how much (or little) sleep we get. But why don't we keep track of how much silence we get? God speaks to us in a still, quiet voice. You may miss Him if the constant music, babbling people, or background noise demand your attention. Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, I want to find the space to listen to You. Please give me a time of peace and quiet every day. Amen

Hi, it's Lynne from the Bible app. Silence can be so hard to come by unless we are proactive. You have reminded me to keep track better and make more time for it.

Hi Lynne! This is so nice of you! Yes, quiet is the time when God speaks to us. As they say, there;'s a reason why we have 2 ears and 1 mouth! I'm praying for you!
