Scriptural reference:

Application:
The sad state of the world is both frightening and outrageous. We sometimes find ourselves awakened from sleep thinking of the world's problems. Those are the nights Ito get up and pray. Pray for nations and people we don't know. Pray with a passion to see healing, end to wars, famine relief, punishment of evildoers, and an opportunity for them to repent and honor God. Somehow, we know deep down that our prayers are making a difference.
God wouldn't tell us to pray if it didn't matter.

Prayer:
Lead us to pray, and realize that our prayers make things better.
