Scripture:
Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. James 1:2-5 (NIV) Application: When we go through the trials of life, joy isn't the first thing in our minds. We may think of "going through," and not dwelling on, as a good thing, but joy? That can only be when God gives us context and relief. And that comes from asking. Prayer: Father, we pray that You will turn our misery into joy. We don't know how You will do it, but we have confidence in Your ability to do something that we can't do ourselves. Amen. Comments are closed.
