Intercede.

“They came as a group to oppose Moses and Aaron and said to them, “You have gone too far! The whole community is holy, every one of them, and the Lord is with them. Why then do you set yourselves above the Lord’s assembly?” ... "[Aaron] stood between the living and the dead, and the plague stopped. But 14,700 people died from the plague, in addition to those who had died because of Korah.” Numbers 16:3, 48-49 (NIV)

“In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans.” Romans 8:26 (NIV)


Application:
In times past, we needed a holy priest to step between us and God for saving. But now, Jesus has died for our sins, been resurrected, and we can speak directly to God.
But we need help as we groan under the weight of sorrow in this world. The indwelling Holy Spirit is there to help us make our prayers of intercession work.


Prayer:
Dear Father, You've made it so clear that You want a personal relationship with every one of us. Thank You for giving us Jesus and the Holy Spirit as we pray for help. Amen.
