Focused and direct instruction.
Scripture: "With him I speak face to face, clearly and not in riddles; he sees the form of the Lord . Why then were you not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?” Numbers 12:8 NIV This is why I speak to them in parables: “Though seeing, they do not see; though hearing, they do not hear or understand. Matthew 13:13 NIV Application: God speaks to His faithful servants clearly. Like the ever-grumbling Israelites on the road with Moses, the Jews of Jesus's time were focused on too many things other than God's Word. Being heavily distracted by the cares of the world or superficialities, they didn't get the message. Similarly, Moses' sister Miriam seemed preoccupied and bitter because Moses married a dark-skinned Cushite. As a result, Miriam was punished when she spoke against Moses (Numbers 12:10). Pray that we will receive God's Word directly through scripture confirmed by signs, if necessary. Pray that we'll be firmly committed to serving the Lord without distraction. If we do, God will speak to us and supply every resource needed to make His Word come alive. Prayer: Lord, we pray that everyone with ears to hear will be focused and will receive Your direction clearly. Amen. Comments are closed.
