Scripture: “Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” Hebrews 11:1 (NIV) “And Elisha prayed, “Open his eyes, Lord, so that he may see.” Then the Lord opened the servant’s eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.” 2 Kings 6:17 (NIV) “for the Lord had caused the Arameans to hear the sound of chariots and horses and a great army, so that they said to one another, “Look, the king of Israel has hired the Hittite and Egyptian kings to attack us!”” 2 Kings 7:6 (NIV) Application: Our human senses pick up only a small amount of reality. When the Lord gives us, or even unbelievers, a glimpse of what actually surrounds us, awe results. Faith means believing in the unseen before it is seen. Faith is reading the Bible, knowing how our story will end, and living in this "meanwhile" period as if we really believe it. Prayer: Lord Jesus, inspire us to live each day as if we see and hear the victory You've already won for us. Amen. Comments are closed.
