Scriptural Reference:
“So I sent messengers to them with this answer: “I am doing important work, so I cannot come down. I don’t want the work to stop just so I can come down and meet with you.” Nehemiah 6:3 (ERV) Application: It happens all the time. You’re embarking on good, solid Godly work and someone wants to distract you. It’s OK to get interrupted by well-meaning family and friends, but enemies are different. Maybe they have an ulterior motive. • They may be secretly jealous of your progress. • They may want to prevent you or someone else benefitting from your God-blessed talents. Like greedy telemarketers, they’ll disguise their disruptions as friendly invitations. When the “haters” come calling, RSVP, “no thanks.” Prayer: Dear God, thank You for bringing me this far. I want to finish. Help me distinguish between innocent distractions and those that try to stop me from doing work that gives You glory. Block those blockers for me, please. Amen.
