Clear-headed, renewed minds.

Scripture:
“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you.” Romans 12:2-3 (NIV)


Application:
Toxic influences in our lives are when people engage in deception, and we are all vulnerable for admission into that group. This is the attitude that we are always right and the world is wrong. The world may indeed be wrong, but it's probable that everyone's wrong...us too. Renewing the mind doesn’t just mean not being deceived, but also not self-deceiving. That only comes through allowing God to clear and renew our minds and show us truth.


Prayer:
God, please renew our minds and protect them from deception from others or ourselves. Amen.
