​Celebrate and cry at once.

Scripture:
"The right! The right! 
Pursue only what’s right! 
It’s the only way you can really live and possess the land that God, your God, is giving you."

Application:
Christianity is not a curve graded religion. We don’t “graduate” by barely getting a passing grade, fulfilling most of the requirements before we die. 
It's 100% complete perfection or nothing at all.
But we can’t keep all the Old Testament rules and regulations. No one can, and even if we could, it would be dangerously tempting to get into a "works" ministry of arrogant entitlement.
Further, only Jesus could be, and was, in perfect compliance with every commandment and prophecy. He is our Savior, not ourselves or any earthly person or ministry. 
What we do that is good is only what we do through the power of God working in and through us. Righteousness came to us freely, but at an immense cost to God. Let's not desecrate this unearned gift by focusing on what we can or can't do personally. Only Jesus does it. 
We fail, but we succeed. 
Celebrate and weep at once.

Father, today and every day we thank You for accepting the sacrifice of Your innocent and perfect Son Jesus Christ, Who made us righteous. Amen.
